CLINICAL PRACTICE

My outpatient psychiatry practice is based at Massachusetts General Hospital, where I maintain an outpatient general adult practice combining psychopharmacology and psychotherapy. My forensic practice focuses on probate law, with an emphasis on guardianship and estate-planning capacity.

CLINICAL INNOVATION

Over my career at Massachusetts General Hospital, I have had the opportunity to work with talented colleagues to develop and implement innovative programs that center on bringing care to patients, rather than asking patients to change or adapt to meet the requirements of the system.

Examples include implementing a mental health team within the hospital's intensive care management program.  This model improved medical and psychiatric outcomes and also reduced costs.  I also worked in partnership with clinical, community, military, and veteran leaders to develop a philanthropically-supported family-centered clinic for returning Iraq and Afghanistan veterans. Finally, I worked with business, government, and civic leaders to establish the One Fund Center, which provided wellness-focused mental health and traumatic brain injury care to survivors of the 2013 Boston Marathon bombings.
